Insurance

Our Tyre & Alloy Insurance, covers you for the cost to repair, or for a replacement up to the Claims limit selected. Cover is offered for up to 3 Tyres and 3 Alloy Wheel claims in any one Period of Insurance and is available for 12, 24, or 36-months periods

Scratch & Dent
Insurance

Our Scratch & Dent Insurance covers the cost of a Minor Repair Damage (Scratches, Dents, Scuffs & Chips under 30cm in diameter) repair, up to £500 (including VAT) for each incident, with an aggregate Claims Limit of £3,000 in any one Period of Insurance. Cover is available for 12, 24, or 36-months periods

Deposit Cover

Cover for the deposit contribution paid by you for your Contract Hire/Lease agreement, up to the limit selected.

Breakdown Cover

Depending on the cover level selected, our Breakdown Insurance, will cover you for a breakdown which occurs within the Territorial Limits (UK) or Territorial Limits (Europe), with up to 60 minutes roadside repair to get you going again. If your vehicle is unable to be repaired, we will arrange for your vehicle to be recovered to your local garage, your home or your intended destination.

What does my policy Cover?
There are three main types of GAP Insurance:

  • Combined Total Loss/Combined Motorhome Gap Insurance – This policy will cover the difference between your Comprehensive Motor Insurer’s settlement, and the invoice price you paid for the vehicle.
  • Replacement Vehicle Gap – This policy will cover the difference between your Comprehensive Motor Insurer’s settlement, and the cost of replacing your vehicle with an equivalent.
  • Finance/ Contract Hire Gap – This policy will cover the difference between your Comprehensive Motor Insurer’s settlement, and the settlement figure for your Finance Agreement

Each policy may have additional cover options, such as excess cover. This is only a brief overview of policy types – please refer to your Gap policy wording for information more specific to your policy.

Can I cancel my GAP policy and receive a refund?

To action a cancellation, please login to your online Ping Account and cancel your policy directly, alternatively, please email

cancellations@pinginsure.co.uk including the following;

  • Full name
  • Policy number
  • Cancellation date
  • Vehicle Registration number
  • The reason for cancellation.

Once the above information has been received, we will review your policy documents, claims history and action your cancellation in line with the terms and conditions, once actioned you will be provided with a full breakdown of your refund where applicable.

Please note, starting a cancellation process does not automatically cancel your policy. You can find your rights of cancellation in your policy documents. All policy refunds are subject to cancellation administration fee, this fee will be automatically deducted from any refund owned.

 

Can I transfer my GAP policy to a new different vehicle?

We are able to transfer your policy of you have taken our one of the following Gap policies:-

  • Combined Total Loss/Combined Motorhome Gap Insurance
  • Replacement Vehicle Gap

We are unable to arrange a transfer if you have taken our Finance Gap or Contract Hire Gap Insurance policies

To start the transfer please email customerservices@pinginsure.co.uk including the following;

  • Full name
  • Policy number
  • Transfer Date
  • Vehicle Registration number (On your Policy)

For your new vehicle, please confirm the following:

  • How Purchased: Cash/PCP/HP etc
  • Where purchased: – Dealer/Private
  • Delivery/Collection: (date)
  • Vehicle Reg Number:
  • Value of the vehicle:
  • Vehicle Mileage:

Please note, starting a transfer process doesn’t automatically transfer your policy. All policy transfers are subject to a administration fee, this fee.

Alternatively, you can login to your online Ping Account and cancel your policy directly.

Where can I find the Claims limit for my policy?

You can find your claim limit detailed on your quote or in your Policy Schedule.

How can I make a claim?
The quickest and easiest way for you to make a claim is online – All claims are managed the Claims administrator MB&G Insurance. Simply select the type of claim you wish to make, provide the information requested and submit the claim form. Once you have submitted the claim form, sit back and let MB&G do the work. They will let you know about the progress of your claim, and what you need to do next on a regular basis
