Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel my Breakdown policy and receive a refund?
You have the right to cancel this policy within 14 days of the date you purchased the policy or when you received the policy documents if this is later. This is known as your cooling off period. Ping Insure will provide a pro-rata refund of any premium paid less a £4.99 admin fee, unless, you have made a claim (Either accepted or rejected) or there has been an incident likely to result in a claim. Thereafter you may cancel the insurance cover at any time by informing us however no refund of premium will be payable. To start the cancellation and refund process please email including the following:- – Full name – Policy number – Cancellation date – Vehicle Registration number – The reason for cancellation. Alternatively, you can login to your online Ping Account and cancel your policy directly.
Can I transfer my Breakdown policy to a new different vehicle?
You can transfer this policy to a new vehicle providing, the vehicle falls into the same age banding or lower than your current Vehicle. To start the transfer please email including the following;
  • Full name
  • Policy number
  • Transfer Date
  • Vehicle Registration number (On your Policy)
  • Your new Vehicle Registration number
Please note, starting a transfer process doesn’t automatically transfer your policy. All policy transfers are subject to an administration fee. Alternatively, you can login to your online Ping Account and cancel your policy directly.
Would I be covered if I run out of fuel?

We can confirm all our policy cover levels, would cover you as standard, if you were to run out off fuel.

When does my cover start?

All our policies have a 48-hour waiting period from when the policy is purchased, prior to all services under the insurance being able to be used.

Can I pay monthly?

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer a monthly payment option.

Would I be covered for a road traffic collision?

Unfortunately, we do not cover breakdowns due to road traffic collisions, in these instances, we would advise you to call your Vehicle Motor Insurer.

How can I make a claim?
